These aren’t your average light beers; rather, they’re crafted experiences that demand your attention!

Crafting a Unique Experience

Today, we’re excited to focus on Firestone Walker’s remarkable 28th Anniversary Ale.

It’s incredible to think this brewery has been leading the craft beer revolution for nearly three decades! The year 2024 stands out as particularly noteworthy, marked by the advent of their first non-alcoholic beer and a series of imaginative brews featuring bold fruits and higher alcohol content.

To celebrate such a vibrant year, what better way than by creating a truly exceptional ale?

As they have done in past anniversaries, Firestone Walker enlisted the help of their renowned winemaker partners to craft this year’s blend, which showcases an unprecedented seven different beers—a remarkable achievement.

The backbone of this ale is a robust 65%, primarily consisting of the fan-favorite Stickee Monkee quad and Bravo imperial brown ale.

The remaining 35% comes from an exciting mix: the rye whiskey-infused PaRyebola, Double DBA, and the final batch of their collaboration with Weldworks, affectionately named ParabaNoche.

To add the final flourish, Helldorado blonde barleywine and Velvet Merkin oatmeal stout complete this complex and innovative concoction.

Let’s take a deeper look!

Aroma and Flavor Profile

Upon pouring, the ale reveals a stunning amber-brown color, evoking images of syrup rather than the deep darkness typically found in many anniversary offerings.

A delicate milk chocolate head rests on top, adding a touch of elegance.

The nose provides a quintessential Firestone experience, with bold aromas of rich espresso, velvety caramel, and dark chocolate pudding.

As the ale breathes, delightful notes of Luxardo cherries and sweet figs pop up, alongside a hint of cookie butter that evokes the indulgence of a luxurious chocolate cream pie.

When it comes to tasting this brew, it truly excels.

Despite the strong whiskey character from the barrel-aged ingredients, there’s no overpowering booziness or cloying sweetness.

Instead, you’ll find a harmonious balance.

At first sip, flavors of vanilla fudge, malted candies, and barley sugar greet your palate, smoothly transitioning to decadent toffee and gentle coffee bitterness.

As you delve deeper, hints of pie spices and dark chocolate fudge emerge, leading to an opulent finish that combines crème caramel, graham cracker, and toasted coconut.

Firestone Walker has once again produced an extraordinary blend that pays fitting tribute to their storied legacy.
