Jack Daniel’s has set off on an intriguing adventure with its latest offering: Tennessee Straight Rye Whiskey, finished in High Toast Maple Barrels.
These remarkable barrels are crafted from maple wood and go through an intensive high toasting procedure that enriches their flavor profile without applying the traditional charring method.
The 2025 release is the second in the Distillery Series, following a previous launch in 2022.
This new edition not only features a higher proof but also benefits from a longer maturation process, spending three years in those distinctive maple barrels, a leap from the previous 20 months.
Both versions start with Jack Daniel’s signature Tennessee Rye mashbill, which contains 70% rye, 12% malted barley, and 18% corn.
Before they mature for about four and a half years in freshly charred American white oak barrels, the whiskey undergoes charcoal mellowing.
